Dear everyone,
It is so good to be back on the blog and I have some exciting news to share with you; GOD HAS OPENED A DOOR FOR ME TO GO BACK TO JAPAN THIS SUMMER! I know you may simply think that is sort of nice and all, but trust me it is TRULY AMAZING!
This semester started out as any other full of school, friends, and an uncertain future regarding my educational program. Around mid January, I prayerfully submitted my application to be reviewed for the severely competitive English Education Program at the University of Georgia trusting God to direct me wherever He chose, and I got in! God is truly good and deserves all praise for His provision! Once admitted I discovered that I had two free months in the summer to do whatever I wanted. By this time in the semester, I had already missed any opportunity to go with any organization on a mission trip and I was somewhat discouraged since missions had been a huge part of my life over the last five years. Luckily the story doesn't end there.
As most of you know I went to Japan last summer and had an amazing time serving the Lord in several areas of ministry. Shortly after I was admitted into the English Program, continuing ministry in Japan really came back onto my heart and wouldn't relent. I began praying to the Lord to show me whether it was merely a selfish desire or whether it was a calling to go back and serve Him. Over a period of a week or so of praying about the matter, I decided I would contact the missionary I worked with last summer, Leena. I told her my situation and she told me she would meet with the church, pray about it, and get back with me. After a few days, Leena got back with me and God confirmed His call for me and opened a door to go back to Japan and serve Him. Without any organization, money, or idea of what I would do, I said yes to the Lord and He has provided miraculously ever since.
As of this very moment, by the perfect provision of the Lord, I have a plane ticket to go to Japan June 28th through July 20th, 2010. Although I still have some financial needs as far as transportation and food costs once I'm in Japan , I wholeheartedly trust the Lord to provide everything I need. God deserves all the glory, honor and praise for who He is and how He cares for us! Please pray for me as I continue to prepare for this amazing trip, seek out God's will as far as what He would have me do there, and that the rest of my needs are met for the trip. Sorry this post was uber long, but I appreciate you taking the time to read it. I will keep you updated on my trip as it draws nearer. Until next time, take care and know the Lord is truly good.
By Grace,
